Sumeet Sachdev, MD

Dr. Sumeet Sachdev is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with over two decades of clinical experience in cardiovascular medicine and peripheral vascular interventions. He is recognized for his comprehensive expertise in diagnosing and treating complex heart and vascular conditions using advanced, minimally invasive techniques.

Dr. Sachdev earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1993, where he graduated with Highest Honors in Biology and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, followed by a fellowship in General Cardiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and advanced training in Interventional and Peripheral Endovascular Cardiology at the University of Cincinnati’s Christ Medical Center and Lindner Center for Research and Education.

Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Sachdev has held clinical and leadership positions at numerous institutions, including Rockford Cardiology Associates, Cardiovascular Associates, Barrington Cardiology, and Northwest Healthcare Associates. He served as Director of the Cardiovascular Laboratory at St. Alexius Hospital and as Vascular Director at USA Vascular Clinics. Since 2017, he has been an independent contractor with CardioSolution, practicing in Washington State.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Sachdev also holds certification from the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons. He is licensed to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Washington.

Dr. Sachdev has performed over 20,000 procedures, including more than 10,000 cardiac, 7,500 peripheral endovascular, and 3,000 venous interventions. His procedural expertise includes angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy, endovascular aneurysm repair, renal and mesenteric interventions, as well as advanced venous therapies like endovenous laser ablation and sclerotherapy.

An active researcher and educator, Dr. Sachdev has co-authored multiple publications and contributed to the book Fifty Cases of Peripheral Vascular Intervention. He has served on the Medical Board Committee for Research and Education at Cardiovascular Systems Incorporated since 2009.
